Motorsports was created in 1987 as Go-Ross Racing with
partner and driver Bryan Goewey. The team won the Rookie
of the Race at Super DIRT Week '88 with a 5th place finish.
After the 1988 season, Goewey retired to concentrate his
efforts on the family car business. In 1989, Ross hired
Matt Quinn to drive the #44 cars. Quinn won 7 races for
Ross from 89-93. Ross Motorsports split the 1994 season
with drivers Bobby Wilkins and Kenny Brightbill before
teaming up with Billy Decker for the 1995 season. The
pair gelled as they won over 70 races, 7 Track Championships,
the 1998 Mr.DIRT Championship and Super DIRT Series Championship,
the 2002 Sunoco 75 358 Championship at Super DIRT Week,

Eckerd 300's (1998,2000,2001) and set the world record
for a DIRT Modified on a 1 mile oval with a time of 28.765
seconds.Ross Motorsports will tackle the 2005 season again
with 22 year old hotshoe Matt Sheppard from Waterloo,
New York as its driver. The pair combined for 8 victories
in 2004 and a 6th place finish in the Mr.DIRT Modified
